Recipe Tip

Just a tip to go with the Whole Wheat Waffles:  try using powdered milk instead of fresh milk in your baking.  Just add the correct amount (1/3 cup powdered = 1 cup fresh) to your dry ingredients and then add the needed water (3/4 cup water per 1/3 cup powdered) to your wet ingredients.  This keeps your powdered milk supply rotated, it has no fat, keeps cold milk from killing your yeast (when using yeast) or gives you the convenience of not having to heat your milk to use in baking.  This tip comes from The Lion House.
